Kat Combo, and others. When last living in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area Al fronted the
Swinging Johnson's trio. Al is known around the Detroit area for
playing bass with the
Butler Twins [appearing on the
Blues From
The Heart Vol 3 CD], Out Of The Blue,
RJ’s Rhythm Rockers,
Kenny Parker
and
Boogie Chillens
as well as leading his own group, the Groove
Shakers [on
Best of
Heatstock Volume 2 on
No Cover Productions]

Finch,
Guitar & Vocals - Chicago native
has deep roots in the blues. As a lad in the windy city played with the
Shadows of Night, the Nightshades, the Buckinghams, The Blue Freedom Band
and many others. As a hired guitar slinger played with many of Chicago's
blues legends such as Fenton Robinson, Mighty Joe Young, Eddie Taylor,
Lonnie Brooks, Jimmy Johnson, Jr. Wells, Honey Boy Edwards and many
others. Jim also appears as a guest artist on Joey Gilmore's recent
CD Ghost Of Mississippi and was one third of the Swingin'
Johnson's.

Mike Schallus, Drummer/Vocalist - has been a staple in the South Florida music scene. His solid and tasteful drumming and powerful vocal style has kept him busy. He was the drummer for Wild Boar Moore's Blues Band who were the winners of the South Florida Blues competition in 1999 and represented Florida at the W.C. Handy awards in Memphis, Tennessee in 2000. In addition to his local accomplishments, he was a member of the well known blues/rock band Dolly Dagger who toured Europe in the late 80's.
