Rude Recording's standard fee is $200 per performance [day/night, etc.] of recording and the client pays for the drive and inner tray. A 50% deposit will be due at booking of services and the drive and inner tray will need to be on hand prior to start of recording. For the initial fee, a "fader-up" reference mix, on CD [or CD's], of the performance will be supplied for performance evaluation. Additional CD's can be supplied at $5 ea. The reference CD is a real-time run-down without a lot of clean up and minimum sweetening. After the initial reference CD, additional mixdowns will be @ $100/tune. [a bargain! Take everyone else's rate and multiply by 3 or 4, the normal amount of mix time per cut on a CD...] Editing is possible at several levels at $50/hr. A duplication quality master supplied of the final approved mixes. State-of-the-art mastering software is used. Glass master prep is available for large scale retail. |

| Capture files are broadcast *.wav files
that are ProTools® compatible and a Firewire/USB 2.0 drive receiver is
available for rent to facilitate transfer. Rental cost of the unit is
$25/day with a $75 deposit. [ProTools® compatibility is NOT
necessarily true of a lot of other machines...] Should longer
transfer capability be required purchase of a
Oyen Digital USB Drive Dock is
recommended. Very cost effective if you want to mix your own.
| The ability to overdub will depend on the
leakage in the room at the recording venue. If the room is very live,
overdubs are not likely. I've had great results at Alligator Alley.
Larger stages generally offer better isolation between instruments.
| For best results it is recommended that
several performances are recorded or critical songs are recorded several
times. |

Inner tray is approximately $16 available from

| Drives are standard EIDE 7200 RPM drives calculated at 20 gb per 90 minutes for 24 tracks @ 44.1 Khz/24 bit recording. 80 gb is great for the average of 3 45-60 minute sets and mixdown. Best current price rules here and bigger is better. Check out Directron for these too: http://www.directron.com/80gb.html. WD, Maxtor, Hitachi/IBM are fine. Seagate drives are NOT recommend for my machine. Experience dictates that twice the intended recording space is necessary for mixdown. |

A small to medium venue sound reinforcement system [PA] can be supplied for a nominal additional charge. A return feed to the client’s sound system is provided without additional charge.
